PCR and molecular biology
The PCR department in one digital flow. From the arrival of the tube to the export of validated results to the LIS.
- All raw data in one place.
- Batch quality control in real time.
- A second opinion on every curve. The laboratory decides.
A day in a PCR department
Curves are printed in colour. They are validated on paper.
Each instrument has its own PC and its own curves. To trace a result, you have to go from one analyser to the next. When a tube is missing, you work from a list where some samples are there and others are not. And when an error appears, it often cannot be traced back.
The workflow in seven steps
From tube to export, seven steps in the Mobiolink App.
The app tracks every tube. The LIS keeps the order, the billing and the medical validation.
Tube reception and sorting
The tube is scanned and matched to the order from the LIS. The app knows which assays to run.
Batch pre-analytics
Aliquot, dilute, extract. The app records every step and the position of every tube.
Run preparation
The app builds the plate and checks that no mandatory control is missing.
Measurement
The app sends the worklist to the instrument and takes in all its raw data.
Automatic interpretation
Following the laboratory’s rules, with batch quality control in real time. You only look at the deviations.
Technical validation
At any workstation in the department. You repeat, dilute, launch a reflex test or block.
Export to the LIS
As long as the controls are not validated, the results do not leave.
Today
What the Mobiolink App does in a PCR department.
Anything in test is marked “in test”. Everything else runs at customer sites.
- Checks the internal controls of every sample.
- Calculates standard curves and controls batch quality in real time.
- Takes the raw data from every instrument and interprets it again: a second opinion alongside the instrument’s.
- Manages repeats and finds the tube.
- Keeps the position of every tube at every step.
- Tracks the indicators of every batch over time and keeps the history of quality controls.
- Automatically applies LC480 Color Compensation to the raw data. Also takes in all raw data from the LC PRO.
- Defines an assay only once, even when it runs on several certified instrument types. The differences specific to each instrument stay in the same definition.
- Groups replicates and checks their deviation. in test
Technical sheet
What the laboratory’s IT needs to know.
- Installation
- On one or more of the laboratory’s Linux servers, within its network.
- Access
- In a web browser, with nothing to install on workstations.
- Organisation
- One instance and one database per department.
- LIS connection
- Like an analyser, via HL7, ASTM or file exchange. The LIS does not need to be changed.
- Instruments
- The app sends the worklists and takes in all raw data.
- Users
- Single sign-on (SSO) or two-factor authentication. Rights by role and department.
- Test and production
- A separate test environment, as an option.
- New versions
- Release notes, installation in the test environment, data migration.
- Support
- A hotline on working days. Mobiolink receives an alert when a technical problem occurs at a customer site.
- Data
- Methods, data and rules stay in the laboratory.
